So it turns out there’s this site where you can get a free iPod. It sounds like a scam, but according to freeipodguide.com it’s totally legit!

So, what do you have to do, exactly? It’s simple! Go to freeipods.com, complete one of their offers (as simple as making a bid on eBay), have 5 friends complete an offer, and then wam-o, they send you a 20GB G4 iPod, or an iPod Mini of your choice!

Feel free to use my referal link: http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=7590927 to help me get my free iPod!

Leave a comment with your referal link to create a congo, if you please. I’ll keep y’all posted!

I admit, I am a Ken Jennings fan. I’ve been tuning in every day for over two weeks now to watch this guy strut his stuff on the Jeopardy! catwalk. This guy is freakin’ amazing… he’s been on for 17 days and has a total cash prize of over $550,000 !!! I really hope he breaks a million, he’s fun to watch and I’m rootin for him!

Homeless Grabbers June 25, 2004

I don’t generally mind homeless people, but today I did. I was walkin to the train station in New Brunswick and I happened to make eye contact with this guy, I didn’t know he was homeless at the time. Once you make eye contact with a homeless person it is almost guaranteed they will talk to you. Anyhow, as I approached him he stuck his arms out like he was about to touch/grab me and asked for money. Most people will simply ask for money, but this guy wanted to grab for it. So I looked at him with an devilish stare and said “NO!”. I’m not about to give this bloke some money, especially if he’s willing to cross that boundry of my personal space.

Like I said, I don’t mind homeless people … unless they try to grab or touch me. Then I dislike them very much.

Digital Fortress June 22, 2004

I started reading Digital Fortress by Dan Brown yesterday. Dan Brown is the same guy that wrote The Da Vinci Code.

Anyhow, I have to say that I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m about 110 pages in, and the story is so captivating that I just want to keep on reading. One thing I read about this book was that it is very predictable. I had a few predictions about it, but so far they’ve turned out to be wrong. These dolts who say it is probably thought about how predictable it was after they read it.

The War of the Free Newspapers June 21, 2004

About 2 months ago when exiting New York’s Penn Station you were only able to grab 1 free newspaper, the AM New York. Now, there’s another one, the Metro. Since the Metro’s launch the outside of Penn Station has become a war zone. Each paper has it’s own people screaming and yelling about who’s newspaper is the best, and basically knocking people down to give them a free paper. I’ve never seen anything like it.

It’s crazy out there kids, be careful!

Trackbacks, Part Deux June 20, 2004

Yesterday I decided to add trackback funtionality to this blog. Initially I was using haloscan to provide the trackback functionality, but today I decided I wanted to host all the trackback stuff on my own server.

Through my searches I found that MovableType has a Standalone Trackback script available for public consumption. I figured this is exactly what I needed, so I decided to give it a whirl.

After the whirl I decided I liked what I had done. I’ve even added a little hack to get it to display the number of trackbacks next to the link, as that is something it didn’t do before.

Below you will find a short how-to on getting MovableType’s Standalone Trackback script working with Blogger, as I have it here.
