New Header Images March 16, 2005

As you can see I’ve updated the header images. Every time you reload the page a new image is displayed. All of the images were taken by me during my (not so) worldy travels. I still have to work on the colors of the links and whatnot, but I’m slowly getting this site to the look I want it to have.
Linux Based Wyse Terminals February 25, 2005

The other day a co-worker pointed out to me that Wyse started making some linux based thin clients. Naturally. I emailed them to ask them for the source under the terms of the GNU GPL, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. I wonder if they’re going to pull a Linksys.

I’ve decided to update the style on the blog. This is just a rough start and it will be further customized in the future.
I’ve also noticed that this blog is beginning to get lots of comment spam. I’ll be working on that in the coming days as well.
Sun Ray November 9, 2004

We finally received our Sun Ray today after about 2 months of waiting for it. The only problem was Sun decided to remove the free download of the server software for Linux. Luckily a nice guy from Germany was able to send it to me!
Tomorrow’s job is to get it working since I spent the rest of today getting SuSE SLES 8 installed, which it requires. The thing looks pretty cool, but we’ll see if it lives up to what Sun says!

So, I’ve decided to switch to Movable Type so I have a little more control over my site. I’m working on a style that will be more congruent, but I’m not a designer, so it’s taking a while.
On the other hand, all of my other posts from Blogger have been imported, so that’s cool!

After almost a month and a $10 donation to FreeiPodGuide.com I’ve gotten myself a shiney new 20 GB iPod. I’ve taken pictures of the order process on the site, which I’ll post soon. I’ll also post pictures of the new gadget once it arrives!
